Euro Down, Dollar Up and Prices Down !

From Venice to Sicily, from the Adriatic coast to the Tyrrhenian, prices Italy-wide are down.  Hooray !  Inn and hotel keepers, aware of the continuing world economic crisis, have reduced room prices considerably, particularly for the low season months (through April, after November 1, and in Rome for all of August.)

The dollar is stronger than it has been since May of last year.  March and April school break trips are excellent value.

Villas this year are particularly well priced, with one lovely favorite with vineyard views and private pool (pictured) being offered at around $4,500 for eight persons in peak high season.

We are planning our next trip, to the Amalfi coast, and are counting the days. Suitcases out please, and join us now in celebrating the stronger dollar and reasonable pricing. Avanti !
