Off to Umbria

Again suitcases are packed.  Wild flowers plus deep red poppies await us in Italy’s “green heart”.  Splendid olive oil and the country’s best legumes and arguably best red wines beckon.  One of the joys of Umbria is that the border is just an hour from Rome, making it a perfect destination immediately before or after.

We will be visiting at least one quite remarkable new hotel and new villa.  The children give us great perspective on the suitability of a property to younger travelers.   We are eager to share every one of our discoveries.

Avanti !
