Educational Experiences in Italy

When I ask clients what element of their trip was most meaningful, so often I hear : “the experiences !”

Insider’s Italy draws you into a rich selection of authentic, of-the-place experiences. Your teachers are part of a long continuity of Italians who are maintaining ancient traditions.

The experiences they share with you come from their heart.

From 34 years, we have celebrated and actively promoted Italy’s unparalleled variety, and enriched your travels with every kind of experience.

Some of those experiences include learning to make fresh pasta from some of Bologna’s most gifted cesarine.

Participating in the olive harvest and the entire process of making olive oil from picking to tasting/understanding to bottling. Your instructors are the producers themselves.  There are no middlemen.

Learning about lemon production and the preparation of limoncello.

Joining families in their own vineyard for the vendemmia, the picking of the grapes and the celebrations at day’s end with the family…

Learning to make mozzarella, ricotta, pecorino, Parmigiano.

Cooking classes based on a combination of your personal interests and the seasonal, local ingredients of the place.

Workshops in mosaic production; in working alabaster; in truffling, in painting; in foraging; in restoration, in weaving.

There are very few artisan experiences that we have not planned, and cannot plan, and every one of them offers an experience that is real and authentic and takes you closer to the true substance of Italy.

Bringing you together with your teacher is to create a barrier-less relationship between the local community and you.

This is no theatrical show of a romanticized Italy, but sustainable, uncompromising and genuine.
