Vaccines ! Moving Forward !

My heart sings to know how many of you have been vaccinated.  In Europe we are behind, and in Italy have suffered extra slowdowns as there was last month a precipitous change in prime minister/government and consequently a revision in the policy of production, regional distribution and utilization of vaccines.

While I know nonni who are again, after two doses, hugging their grandchildren, and that as time goes on, all of us who want to be vaccinated will be so, it is likely that the US will continue on a much more accelerated pace of vaccination than will our Italia.

Be that as it may, so many of you have written to me to say : “Phew !” and “I’ve survived, time to celebrate in Tuscany !”  and….

“When and where is my first Italian meal ?”

From a San Francisco climate whom I introduced to my garlic supplier, who sells what must be Italy’s sweetest and must succulent garlic :

“Is it realistic that I can be in Rome to buy braids of garlic from your garlic man, Marjorie, before summer’s end ?

I can’t tell you when EU borders will open again, but I am following this like a hawk and will report the moment I know.

No one would be more delighted to see you back in an Italian piazza.

I can however guarantee that Italy will seem closer if you visit our site and complete our no-obligation survey which will give us some ideas of the sort of trip you would like.  Do you want to come to Italy but are entirely unsure of what you want to do?   Let us call you to discuss and put together a first set of ideas.

Dreams become ideas; ideas become reality. And when you can indeed launch yourself on Italy, your plans are already made, and we need only fine tune.

What could be nicer than that ?
